I finally at the age of 38 managed to buy a home with my wife last year. It's a small 2-bed terraced on the outskirts of London.
We got very, very lucky. We managed to get a mortgage at 3.1%. At the time, it seemed like the worst financial decision ever. I'd never heard of someone paying such a high rate.
But 100%, if we had waited, we'd never have the affordability to buy this year.
