Why the fuck is the state just allowed access to full medical records in the first place?
They have the ability to get some without a warrant but more would likely require a warrant. Although this is not the kind of thing they need to be investigating, they are just living out their transphobic fascist dreams.
The next time I encounter a misinformed trans phobic statement in person, it will take all of my will power not to unload my pent up frustration while I attempt to calmly unravel their brain rot.
The same reason the government got data from att without a warrant. Because no one bothered to stop them.
Because the state is run by authoritarian religious extremists?
