I passed a house with a large cutout of a Corgi. It was... disconcerting.
House near me used to have a life-sized realistic cow statue in the front garden. Unnerving. But I never saw any real cows in the neighborhood so it must have worked.
Oh yes, it's effective as I haven't seen a corgi in the area. As an added bonus the Queen has never visited.
