Pretty wild to have covered that much ground way back then. It's not like you could call anyone if something bad happened during your journey.

Damn reality. It was a joke about how everyone is constantly connected via cellphone now, but I suppose it wasn't all that good. Just here trying to have some fun.

Yes, forced digitalisation is bad, but 'constant connection' is not really a thing as the digitalisation also made people more lonely, so people miss connection (visible also through the amount of pre-digital nostalgia in media).
