Do you know what a reaction image is? It's literally what you posted and just described.

Someone posts, someone comments to the post with an image as a reaction.

It's 4chan shit. I was there when that trend started and I watched it spread to other sites. It's also meant to get people to react. That's what those commenters are looking for. Doesn't matter where its being posted.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. I am explaining that that’s not what I was talking about. I wasn’t reacting to anything and I was not explaining anybody reacting to anything with an image.

Edit: to be more clear, take the meme photo, I used above as actual photo footage of a nerdy fuck under a meme, trying to define some scientific facts. This post was about what annoys you. This annoys me.

I wasn’t reacting to anything and I was not explaining anybody reacting to anything with an image.

Okay, now I feel like you are really misunderstanding me because that's also not what I was saying.

the meme photo you used IS a reaction image.

If your complaint in this thread is that I used a reactionary image then ok…. I’m just trying to tell you I wasn’t using it how you are bitching about. I wasn’t using this meme as an insult to the OP. I was using it as a descriptor of the type of fucking idiots I hate seeing on Lemmy. Which is what this post is about.

[–] cubedsteaks@lemmy.today 0 points 1 year ago

Yes. I am aware of all of that. That was never my complaint. My original post wasn't even a complaint. I was just informing you.

[–] willya@lemmyf.uk 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I KNOW….. what is it you are getting at? I wasn’t using it in the way that you are complaining about. it’s also not something that annoys me. I do not give a shit if somebody responds to a post with an image.

I KNOW…… what is it you are getting at?

Please explain it back then. I'm very curious.
