Investment in some noise-cancelling headphone would be justified. It's a sanity-saving expense!

I find that noise cancelling headphones make everything quieter, and then cancel out all the low frequencies... Leaving nothing BUT crying for you to listen to!

Noise canceling headphones combined with unhealthy loud music/movie. Don't recommend it for longer trips
