Not sure if it classifies as video game magazines, but games were at least a growing part of my favorite (German) computer magazines in the 80s and 90s:

64'er - magazine about Commodore VIC20 and C64
Happy Computer - magazine about multiple home computers
ASM (Aktueller Software Markt) - games and software for multiple home computers

(Wikipedia articles only available in German)
