Part of the problem is that they slap "AI" on everything, and many people think it's actually intelligent, and not what amounts to the old school chat bots with more power.
It is an annoying misnomer, as we don't have the technology to create actual intelligence yet.

Exactly. Just making larger queries or adding in more if then statements does not make anything intelligent. It's just larger.
