Does anyone use cloud pcs with enough capacity to run sd? In particular, with a video card with enough vram. This would be as an alternative to buying a pc.

I haven't, the cost of running something in the cloud that requires a GPU is just not something that is cost effective to an individual in my opinion. For the cost of running a server in the cloud with a GPU for a month, you could buy a decent GPU

Well if you're running it 24/7 yeah... With services like runpod, you are only charged for the storage if the instance isn't running. I think the idle storage cost is $0.20/GB/month.
