What finally knocked me off the agnostic fence into atheism (please spare me the they are the same or all of one are the other. for me it was 50% chance of god/s/upernatural to infinitesible chance of same) was Qanon and pizza gate and such. I held out this belief that humans are sensible and the origins of these religions must of had something of significance because people don't just believe any bullshit someone spews and make a whole community around it. That was the final thought that kept me a fence sitter. I sorta figure cults were a special situation and just vulnerable individuals being preyed on. Seeing such a mass of citizens and humanity just buying into bullshit and making it part of their identity in modern times though. Woa.
