Forgot the name and creator of the theory but it's basically in/out-group theory. Originally thought up to explain youth criminality in particular.
On another note, if you are interested run a check-list on the criteria that lead to mass criminality as in genocide and the like for Russia/China and the USA in particular. It's appalling how close they are in that regard. If we ever get a 3rd world war the war crimes will be uncountable
