Results of bird survey: I don't have many birds in my yard. Two galahs flew over, and two doves briefly landed on my neighbour's roof.

She sulked in her haunted house for a while because I stopped her using my stool to get over the gate to escape. Then she spent some time trying to spot birds with me, and when that didn't work out she started some weird cat game that involved lots of pouncing and batting at something invisible.

I can spot you a couple of blackbirds and a mynah

I'm surprised I don't have any blackbirds around as I have put down lots of mulch they normally like scratching in. But I don't recall seeing a blackbird in ages. I do have an occassional mynah. I did have a pair of currawongs and a wattle bird this morning, hopefully they will come back for the next survey.

I usually have wattlebirds as they like the salvia here (but not lately for some reason), and the blackbirds have been busy rearranging all my new mulch. We have a ‘they scratch it out and I rake it back’ system going on
