I may have goofed. Ordered some outdoor plants for our complete redo of the garden and without thinking rationally I just expected them to take 2-5 business days to arrive despite it being a local nursery, and I definitely didn't expect getting a knock on the door and hour and a half later with them.

And I can't even plant them this weekend due to the heat on Monday :(

Lol, at least you know they're good on postage! I love businesses that (I'm presuming) do their own deliveries, at least in the local area. It just adds that extra touch that's nice, and controlling all of the process themselves means it's a hell of a lot less likely to get damaged or grow a pair of legs and vanish

I've noticed some businesses now claiming they "hand deliver" in the local area, when what that actually means is they get on uber eats and pay some poor bloke in a banged up corolla to throw it at your door for a dollar and fourty cents per delivery

This was definitely the former; I got a cheery Merry Christmas from the bloke who dropped them off and he handed me one of them was in a Christmas themed temporary pot. Nice touch. Will be buying from them again when I inevitably kill 40% of what I'm doing (85 pots/plants).

Ah, awesome! Yes, I'd definitely go back then! Any place that does their own deliveries certainly gets a few brownie points in my head. Even better when they put in the effort of making those minor touches nice (Christmas themed pots, a happy merry Christmas)

I always feel like I need to protect those types of businesses like they're little teeny tiny kittens for some reason. They seem to be becoming rarer and rarer

That's the definition of being blursed!

Any chance you can get some planting in Tuesday or Wednesday?

Yeah definitely, still on my sabbatical so I don't have anything I need to do other than gardening and play computer games haha.
