The states having freer, happier people if they seceede. Some of the states have people in charge that I believe would be more exreeme or more crafty in achieving permanent power for themselves. I'd like to be optimistic, but the number of people who agree with Trump's rhetoric and my previous coworker who said they were excited at the idea of a civil war has tempered my positivity.

Something good is here, but I'd still want something to balance the power of those in charge of each state. I definitely agree that the power balance between state and federal right now is all screwed up by the two party system, bad faith actors, and too much distance from the public.

That was a great answer. I didn't realize that state governors could be as bad as Trump, with all the exposés on him.

Piss baby Ted Cruze and destructive toddler Newt Gengrich both come to mind.

Edit: and don't get me started on the Oklahoma senators. Actively sabatoging education and sowing election distrust.
