I'm not sure yet. I like that they show off my waist, but I definitely find them a lot harder to style. With higher waisted jeans it feels like you can chose a top at random and it's gonna look decent, but at least for me it's very easy for my body to look awkward with a lower waistline, and I have to be very careful about what I'm wearing on my upper body to avoid that.
Low rise jeans and such can end up making your torso look longer, which is not always desirable. I have a few though cuz they're kinda fun and cheap at a thrift.
That's probably why I think it looks awkward with a lot of stuff. Some outfits are cute with it though ^^
