The photo is a 1974 photo of Leslie Feinberg, from the FBI file on hir. I've written a piece on my interpretation of Transgender Warriors and Trans Liberation, but I don't think it's quite polished enough, so I'll post it later. Instead, I'll go over hir FBI file: https://s3.amazonaws.com/NARAprodstorage/lz/dc-metro/rg-065/6282555/Batch0010/6282555_100-HQ-480756.PDF.
The FBI thought Feinberg could be violating the Communist Control Act, advocating the overthrow of the government, and engaging in rebellion. Needless to say, a hero to all of us. Feinberg was a member of the Workers World Party (the party still exists, but more notably PSL split from it), which apparently wasn't openly advocating for the overthrow of the U.S, they just think it's inevitable.
My favorite line? "captioned subject is believed to be a white female, who became male through some kind of sex change operation, and is possibly homosexual". Some interesting language choice, and it's an interesting snapshot into the evolution of Leslie's identity.
The FBI found Leslie's place of birth and birthdate from public school records. It's a bit of an interesting look into all of the many places the FBI can get their information, along with how information like that was so much more patchwork before the digital age.
"Interview of subject is not being recommended because of the questionable nature of his sexuality". Hmm, interesting.
It's interesting how their investigation spanned multiple cities, from Kansas City to NYC to Bufffalo to Boston. It probably involved quite a few officers, though I'm sure it wasn't the main focus for all of them.
There's some interesting mention about changes in Leslie's gender identity. Born a girl, for a time wearing a beard and mustache, then going back to "she". I'm sure we all know, Feinberg's gender didn't stop evolving there.
"Subject reportedly contributes all extra money to WWP", Leslie definitely was dedicated to the cause. Leslie doesn't attend NYC WWP meetings, but the FBI doesn't mention why.
The FBI isn't immune to typoes, Leslie did some "criminal terspass" that garnered some attention. They wasted some time checking if Leslie was in Boston, but verified where Leslie in NYC lived by pretending to be a part of the Voter Registration Commission.
There's a whole 43 pages of documents, all just from 1974-75. There's plenty of interesting tidbits in there, so maybe check it out.

I haven't tried them, but I've heard good things about sockdreams.com, from the looks of it if you contact them with measurements they should be able to get you a nice pair of loooooooong socks that fit your legs.
Haven't slept fully naked with thigh highs because I haven't shaved my tummy/chest yet (long story short I'm boymoding atm, will be in vacation with family soon, not sure if I'll end up swimming or some shit.)
Sleeping in thigh-highs and and big t-shirts however... ๐mwah
sockdreams is what I've been using, not an amerikkkan though so I have to pay customs, gets expensive after a while
hopefully you can stop boymoding sooner rather than later
i'm waiting on the regime of the sun to move on so i can wear thigh highes back into bed, it's way too warm even while naked otherwise
That's awful. Cost-accessible, hugh-quality, custom-fitted thigh-highs should be the god given right of every transfem, femboy, and wanting enby on the planet.
Edit:
Jimbo's dad talking about how we're gonna seize the means of thigh high production
I wish the Extraordinarily Longer socks were just a tiny bit longer or they had another size above those. Like, I'm not especially tall and I still think an extra 2-3 inches would be better, but they're definitely not just knee highs.
The cheap compression socks I got from the hospital I learned actually can stretch to be longer. Didn't know for a while because I couldn't actually put them on myself at the time (injured both arms).
I wonder how hard it is to make your own. Im on the shorter side so admittedly its easy for me to find thigh-highs that cover the whole thigh.
Shame they don't make more options for the leggy gals/humans out there.
Tried searching just now and one of the first results suggested getting microfiber tights cutting them and adding an elastic band. But then you still need to find a pair of microfiber tights long enough and those always seem to be more transparent than I'd want when stretched enough for someone of my size. That said, snug fitting leggings might be an alternative to that, but that's missing the foot part.
If you don't mind seams and know how to use a sowing machine (or really patient to do it by hand), it might not be hard to make some. I've never used such a machine and my by-hand stitching has been exclusively about mending small holes/tears, so idk.
And then I guess crochet options exist if you are very dedicated.
