As he always said, he's sacrificing himself and his nice life for this nation of poor losers. And they almost blew his head off for it despite loving him. He must realize even his loyal base is so fucking batshit that they'd kill his ass too and his Secret Service is so fucking incompetent they can't even stop it. Nowhere to turn except back to his room to eat McDonald's fish sandwiches and watch TV in silence contemplating the very real possibility that he, too, may be a loser. He might just die from that.
