I know exactly this type of guy, he loves stopping you and trying to add nuance when you suggest any voters might just be stupid. He also loves pointing out new problems Democrats have with reaching out to voters and expect to be rewarded with nods by the people listening to him, while never ever taking a stab at making a concrete messaging plan of his own.
I hate the idea libs have that everyone else is like an... "egg liberal" or something, that they just need the right liberal education and they'll become a liberal. They're so smug about it.
