President Joe Biden told Democratic governors during a meeting at the White House on Wednesday that part of his plan going forward is to stop scheduling events after 8 p.m. so that he can get more sleep, according to three sources briefed on his comments.

not beating sleepy joe allegations tbh

Lovely, now he's just like my parents. Is he going to give a presser on the need to serve prune juice at state dinners? Maybe do an at length interview with the Post on the need to have a walk-in bathtub installed at the White House.

What's frustrating is how he's not like my folks, near the same age. They're getting their steps in, adjust to European time as fast as anyone else and one can go full-on Putin with the history lectures, nailing detail after detail with no regard to how late it's getting. And yet the media portrays the concern about his brain being pudding as ageism. It's not about old people in general, it's about this particular old fuck who doesn't know which Biden he is.

Different people are different. I have an 85 year old inlaw who is physically feeble but still has a sharp mind. She has Fox News brainworms, but can hold a conversation and remember things that happened yesterday. She walks slow, but still wins family poker nights.

I also watched my 70 year old grandmother riddled with dementia try to eat a banana without peeling it.

This is not ageism, it is acknowledging reality.

Yep. Some old folks are in better condition than others. My dad is in way better shape than a lot of 70 year olds I know, so I therefore have less concern for his short term health.
