Starting today every Wednesday I'll be posting a "what are you playing?" thread.

I'll start, with all the news of the Persona 3 remake I have gone back and started playing Persona 3 Portable again.

I will be working on this magazine over the next comple day to really flush it out but in the mean time feel free to discuss anything related to being a girl gamer.

Gosh this game is so good~ I started playing it on-and-off a few months ago but after I finished my finals earlier this week I decided to just really go full-in. The writing is amazing and I immediately want to replay it again with a different build! I played the game very psychological, solving the case using the paranormal and empathy, now I just want to go full physical, punching my way through it :p
Idk just wanted to share it's one of my favourite games now and I really recommend it ^^

One of the most useful things about old reddit was niche gaming communities where you could look for game guides or ask questions. It's taking a bit to populate those niche communities outside reddit, so could a community like this be a good one to start threads to list all the Hidden locations in Control, or list game guides.

Is it a good place, mods and nonmods, for general gaming news and asking about a specific part of a specific game if you get stuck?

If so, should we have a dedicated thread for game guides or just kind of post when questions come up or when we post them?

OR should we stay away from general gaming stuff and stick to the intersection of women and gaming?

For myself I spent the last few days playing Minecraft with my daughter.

Video on the NSC from Control and how incredibly horrifying it actually is. Spoilers for Control.

I've played through Control at least 10 times by now but I just found an area with a resource box that I hadn't seen before. This game is so detailed and so intricate I can enjoy it again and again.

Does anyone else have a game like that? That you can play again and again and still get surprised sometimes?

There's still around 30 hours left, so write a comment if you have any recommendations. Link to the sale.

I got:

  • Hitman: Blood Money,
  • Siberia I and II,
  • Still Life,
  • Divine Divinity,
  • Deus Ex,
  • Anachronox,
  • everything they have from the Legacy of Kain
  • original Alone in the Dark trilogy,
  • Dracula trilogy,
  • Fear,
  • Moon Hunters,
  • In the Shadows,
  • State of Mind,
  • The Samaritan Paradox,
  • Detective Grimoire.

All in all, looks like a pretty neat sale :)

I've got a clan going for women only (which includes transwomen). I'm on PS5 so it's only available to gamers on PS4 or PS5. Leave your gamer tag here, or look for Sisters of Mayhem in game to apply.

I've haven't been feeling well and weirdly that when I just lay in bed and watch LP of horror games. So I haven't really played anything this week but have watched full play throughs of Silent Hill 1 & 2.

This can be a remake, sequel or completely original game. For myself I wish we could have gotten a Star Gate game.

Like, Witcher 3 is great, but I have a hard time getting into it because I can't relate to Geralt at all, and find myself wishing I could make my own witcher or sorceress to play as.

Does anyone else have gaming experiences like that they'd like to share?

This community is still very young so for now we are open to pretty much any type of post as long as they are related to gaming and/or being a women gamer. So please feel free to create some articles.

This comes to no surprise to anyone who has played their Persona series or Catherine. I'm just bringing it up again because I went back to play Persona 3 Portable because of all the remake news and while P3P might have the least overall issues it does still have a transwomen being portrayed as a predator. They also having the character have stubble as their not so subtle way of point out this character is trans.

Like I said there are way worse examples in their games. Persona 4 has a FTM character where the main character can active force to basically detransition.

Then there is Erica from Catherine. I love Erica and they way the character make back handed comments and even make fun of a character for dating her really irritates me.

Anyways rant over. What are your thoughts on this?
