Companies like RedHat buy Thinkpads (the professional ones like T-series and whatever the others are called, not the cheapo consumer ones) to run Linux on. So they're better supported because Linux devs also use them. And you can get used ones cheap because lots of companies buy these and sell them second hand after a couple of years. They're sturdy and usually in decent shape still.

Battery life is what it is. I'd get something with integrated graphics, that'll be better for battery life and out of the box support.

Do check on the internet if other people are having problems with the specific laptop you consider buying. There's always a chance that something is broken with any specific model.

A spokesperson for the German regime said they will only definitely decide whether or not they would arrest Netanyahu or Gallant if/when they plan on coming to Germany, but he said arresting them would be "hard to imagine". ^tagesschau^

So they have definitely decided they will not arrest Netanyahu but don't want come right out and say that.

I like them both.

The newer one (being wider and more symmetrical at the bottom) has a pleasing sort of triangle going on, like an arrow pointing towards the star. The old one just kinda has a star above it.

I kinda like the wider sickle thing on the old one on its own though.

Also it looks like the new one is a bit brighter. The darker tone makes it seem more badass somehow, but badassery is not really the main point you'd want to convey.

Wouldn't the Sandy Hook families get (most) of the money from the Infowars auction? So they're effectively paying themselves I think. Would be interesting who's paying what amount of money and what the ownership structure is now.

Looks okay, I just saw Kamala defeat Pork Officer on the way up Trump tower by giving him funding.

Libs telling us how they really feel. And what they feel is morally superior and genocidal hate against the poors, Muslims, Latinos, etc. Many of the comments don't even pretend about making a distinction between Trump voters and all these groups. They all apparently deserve what's coming to them, for being part of some group that maybe voted for Trump more than previously, but less than the (white) middle class a number of these assholes admit to being part of.

From what I have heard, they want people to sign up and not quit, because they're desperate for career soldiers.

Only the chancellor can initiate reelection (via a vote of no-confidence in parliament), so they'd need to replace Scholz first, which means the opposition (CDU/CSU, AfD and the just kicked out FDP) would need to all get behind the same candidate for chancellor.

Scholz says he will do the no-confidence vote in January, followed by elections in March. The CDU probably wouldn't want the headache of making deals with the AfD just so reelection is two months earlier.

Nah he won in 2021 and he's technically just the head of the government, there's a ceremonial president which is the head of state. The coalition is incredibly unpopular though.
