What book have you read that was actually WORSE than the movie? in c/books@metacritics.zone

Children of Men is one of my only examples as well! And I don’t know if it counts since it’s more of a loose adaptation of a short story but Arrival / Story of Your Life. It’s funny, I was just talking about this with my husband over the weekend.

The majority of times I’ve seen the word “questing” in my life were when I was reading Jeff VanderMeer’s Southern Reach trilogy.
