I saw that on the ballot in Madison County and thought there would be no way it would pass. It passed in all 7 counties that had the proposal in the ballot.

There’s no way the counties down here can be financially solvent without the northern half of the state.

People keep telling me not to worry. After seeing so many things that “would never happen” come to pass it is difficult to not take this seriously. Both mine and my wife’s retirement is solely based on our Illinois teacher pensions. I’m guessing those dissolve if this comes to pass? Do I move preemptively?

At what point is the ignorance a choice? Most of us have the wealth of knowledge the internet provides in our pocket.

The man who cheated on his previous wife dying of cancer says other voting for control over their own healthcare are sick. Gotcha.

I know individuals and people who may vote Republican may not necessarily feel the same

But the racism card never becomes a deal-breaker. Republicans are more likely to get in line and go to the polls than those who lean to the left. If you choose to associate with and elect people who broadcast hateful rhetoric, you bear responsibility.

This alone proves to me that this isn’t about political ideals but rather who holds power. As a result, lies told to further the cause of “power” are simply a means to an end. It’s reprehensible.

I think they’re so desperate to feel seen that they’ll deny everything their senses tell them. It’s incredible and sad.
