My company enforces specific add-ons for Firefox so I installed and use LibreWolf which our admins don’t lock down - only Chrome and Firefox. I wanted a browser that I would use separately from my work that didn’t specifically need their add-ons which include traffic sniffing crap. I know that if I want to do any personal browsing and guarantee it’s personal, I should use my own device but I was honestly just annoyed by the additional CPU cycles the security add-ons were using.

Did they mention external device access? I only see a mention of portable LibreWolf which I assume is referring to the “can just be ran from a folder dropped anywhere on the filesystem” version of portable, not necessarily that it’s an external device.

but…but…but…he said he would fix it! Sure he didn’t say how but he would, right? Right?!?

Trusting a con man…

Nice spelling. Don’t be surprised when it starts to taste like piss.

It’s just so sad that people can look at this shit like Project 2025 and think let’s go for that. Ignore Trump and his calls for being a dictator but what the fuck. I am so disappointed in my fellow Americans. I do not look forward to having this shit stain being shoved in my face with his inability to speak a clear thought.

I would strongly urge you to reconsider this voting strategy. By voting 3rd party, you are saying that you are fine with Donald Trump becoming president again which I believe is many times worse than what you have a problem with the current administration. Is him becoming elected really a better outcome for the overall future? While an important issue to you, you’re exposing a flaw in our election system in that your non-vote is just about the equivalent of a vote for Trump.

That's part of the problem. I had seen on a thread where someone was asking if that would mean a mobile version of a browser, the response from some of the devs was "no for now" seeing as it is only the EU and that it would be a lot of work to do for a small portion of a potential user base.

Here’s my read on it - looking up the definition of cunt, it’s “a woman’s genitals” so essentially you’re associating women’s genitalia with something negative, specifically an insult. It doesn’t necessarily make sense seeing as calling someone a dick is fine and isn’t seen as being so vulgar.

Ah yeah, the fun of how that works. I recall that I had previously set up WebDAV to try to simplify my source of truth but I think that was just with the original KeePass app, not KeePassXC. I also wasn't trying to share passwords among multiple people but I do recall having issues when I was using Dropbox to sync to my phone since I would have to actually make sure Dropbox had updated the copy of the file which required me opening the app at the time.

As someone who used to use KeePass, went to LastPass, and then Bitwarden (Vaultwarden), I finally got my non-tech literate wife to use Bitwarden. I’m concerned that KeePass might end up being more difficult if it comes down to it. I believe that KeePass had some sort of browser integration but it really has been a long time since I used it so who knows the current state. Curious how browser integration is today.

Yeah, that’s absolutely what I am saying. Its nowhere even near the coast where a hurricane is ever a serious concern besides some gusts and a few inches of rain from one and even then, you’re thinking of that much closer to the coast.

So you’re saying Asheville, NC is hurricane territory?

This is something I am seeing more and more of. As companies start to either offer or require 2FA for accounts, they don't follow the common standards or even offer any sort of options. One thing that drives me nuts is when they don't offer TOTP as an option. It seems like many companies either use text messages to send a code or use some built in method of authorizing a sign in from a mobile device app.

What are your thoughts on why they want to take the time to maintain this extra feature in an app when you could have just implemented a TOTP method that probably can be imported as an existing library with much less effort?

Are they assuming that people are too dumb to understand TOTP? Are they wanting phone numbers from people? Is it to force people to install their apps?

*edit: I also really want to know what not at least give people the option to choose something like TOTP. They can still offer mobile app verification, SMS, email, carrier pigeon, etc for other options but at least give the user a choice of something besides an insecure method like SMS.

I find that the fonts in the feed and in comments are incredibly small by default. When I have maxed out the slider and on my iPhone 14 Pro, the fonts there are to where I finally consider them to be properly sized for easy reading without eye strain. But then, all of the text in menus is excessively big. It would be ideal if there were separate adjustments as I am not blind, I just don’t want to strain my eyes because I already use a computer for 8+ hours a day.

I am curious if any iOS users are experiencing this same thing but I am seeing when I am looking at some posts where it's an image post and I either look at the thumbnail or click on the image, that the image has only loaded like 5-10% of the image at the top. I've tried refreshing the post when I see that but it doesn't seem to make the image load. The only thing that seems to work is if I click the "Link" icon on the post which opens the in app Safari directly to the link on the other server where the image loads and then when I go back to the post after closing the in app browser, it shows fully loaded.

It seems to be random for me and not something I can specifically pin down to any one server/instance. Just curious if it is something that only I am experiencing or what. I can't reproduce it where the PWA is installed on macOS as I was wondering if I was hitting some sort of weird network issue but I can't reproduce it on two different MacBooks.

*edit: Seems like multiple people are experiencing the same thing. I created https://github.com/aeharding/voyager/issues/386 if you want to follow.

I am curious if anyone else is experiencing the Splash screen showing up but the background is white. I am on 0.18.2. I have "Use System Light/Dark Mode" disabled and then have "Dark" mode manually enabled in case it matters.

In iOS, I have Light/Dark mode set to automatic switching based on the time of day. It's at least happening to me during the afternoon today and I feel like it was working previously before I switched from wefwef to Voyager for my installed PWA on my home screen.
