I knew Reddit was heading in a crap direction since they launched the whole new layout/design. Then the ads started creeping in more and more, then I noticed when they added social media account integration into personal profiles and don't even get me started with the NFT avatars. It's become a steaming pile. It makes me sad to see what's happened. I met my partner on there just over 3 years ago and now we live together! So I will always be thankful for that, but I'm done with that site.

I'm glad it helped! I made a comment in a different thread and asked Tom if he can look into the language settings as I think it's causing some problems. Hopefully he'll see it.

I think it's something to do with a language setting, but I'm really not sure. I've been having the same issue on some communities. When I use the desktop webpage, I make sure to select English underneath the text box and that seems to make it work...I think? Honestly I have no clue. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge can explain.

So pretty, those markings are beautiful! It's the best feeling when you repot and they keep growing just fine. I panicked a lot about my peace lily after I repotted but it's flourishing.
Also I have a question if you don't mind. How did you manage to get your pictures to orient in portrait? I had the same issue of mine turning sideways when I attached them to the body of my post but I couldn't figure it out no matter how many times I rotated the picture.
I'm noticing that when I view some communities in other instances from within the feddit.uk instance, it says there is 0 comments on every post, or I can't see posts at all. When I view them from an account I made on lemmy.world, I can see everything. I can only assume that this is related to the 'Undetermined' language option. Tom is this something you can look into please? Under Settings there is a Languages box (different to interface language), but we can only select English rather than 'Undetermined'.

I managed to figure it out, sort of. I uploaded the image into the 'URL' bar rather than trying to attach it within the body of the post. That seemed to give the correct orientation.
I've been trying to post a picture and every time I preview it, the picture within the post is turning sideways. No matter how many times I try rotating it, saving it and re-uploading it to the post, it's still sideways. What am I doing wrong?
I didn't know what 'compo face' meant, but I'm glad that I do now.
I’ve just logged in to my lemmy.world account and searched for / subscribed to some of the feddit.uk communities. I don’t have time to do them all right now but I’ll subscribe to more tomorrow from that account.
