I tried a couple of different providers for a month each and eventually found one that wasn't rubbish. The problem was however due to them being based in the UK, their UK channels worked fine but international channels buffered like crazy. I was mainly interested for the live sports and might re-sub in the future for a major sports tournament, but for now I'm good.

In the UK, torrent sites are blocked by the ISPs, so you would need a VPN to access the sites.
