From living in HK, they all look very similar / have similar security features so most people are used to the different designs. Might be easier to scam tourists tho.

Best option, although still not a very good one, is a browser with an invidious instance website ( e.g inv.tux.pizza ) as they have no shorts. Probably one of the few solutions on IOS.

I've had a pair of Shokz Openrun Pro for a few months and they've consistently had an issue where the sound becomes muffled and distorted when sweaty/wet. Is this normal for other people who've used them? Should I get them repaired under warranty?

Thanks for any insight.

I used to also think gaming and Linux are not really that compatible, but Proton being built into steam makes it easy to run pretty much any game out of the box now.

Recently went on a flight and paid 30 USD for seat selection online. Then when we go to the airport our friends who didn't check in online could select it free at the airport anyways...

In the UK university is still wayyyy cheaper than US, but local students pay ~$10,000 a year max due to regulation, but international students have no protection and typically pay ~$30,000

More than 10% service charge is unacceptable already where I am. Let alone asking for a tip on top.

SIM card are really easy here. $33 HKD at 7-11 will get you about 50GB data (I think with even more data at slower speed). Chungking mansions always has tons of adaptors and stuff like that for a good price.

The UK cannot believe every tech company will allow the govt to pre-approve updates instead of just pulling out.

Using a Kindle Basic for a few months and it's pretty great. No issues with side loading via Calibre and it was only about $60. Ads on the cover are a bit ugly, but never seen any in the interface beyond the lock screen.

Recently tried Taylor's Colombian San Sebastian beans. I wasn't expecting too much but for $8/225g it specified a collective of farmers and was roasted fairly light. (Package said light, but definitely more of a medium). Tasted pretty unique too with some acidity.
