I enjoyed seeing everyone's submissions too!

Inktober also does a weekly challenge that spans the year, called Inktober52, which we will be posting for people to follow along with if they so wish. That'll at least provide an opportunity for people to continue contributing to this community, either with artwork, their time, or both, until the next month-long Inktober challenge comes along. :)

No judgment here - it was the same for me! Life happens. Thank you for participating though! Submitting drawings is great, but even just viewing others' artwork is a great contribution, and just as vital, y'know?

And we're back! The prompt for November 7-14th is "Polar"!

As always, you’re free to create a separate post for your own stuff if you wish, or you can post it as a comment in this weekly prompt post. I will corral any individual posts and post them here as a comment, and I will do my best to continue to do so until the community grows to the point that it becomes untenable! Wouldn't that be a good problem to have? :)

Rules:

  1. Please remember to be kind. All skill levels are welcome here.
  2. AI art is not allowed.
  3. Submissions must be based on the given prompt, but either traditional or digital mediums are welcome.

An illustration from a week-long, daily prompt-based challenge. This was the one I was most satisfied with.

This will be my first time doing an Inktober outside of October so take this with a grain of salt, but judging by posts sent out by Inktober in the past, the prompts seem to go out every Wednesday night / Thursday.

That seems a little odd to me, as I would've assumed that it would fall on a weekend or Mondays, even, but all the posts I've found so far seem to have been sent out on a Thursday.

October is over, and the main Inktober challenge is done. Thank you to everyone that participated, and congrats to everyone that made it through the entire 31 days!

Many of you will be taking a well-deserved break, but for those of us looking to continue or join in on the fun, we will continue to post prompts from the weekly Inktober52 challenges.

As always, these are the rules:

  1. Please remember to be kind. All skill levels are welcome here.
  2. AI art is not allowed.
  3. Submissions must be based on the given prompt, but either traditional or digital mediums are welcome.

Thank you! :)

Day 31! The last day of Inktober! Thanks to everyone who participated and made this possible! Congrats to those of you that made it through the entire 31 days!

I understand that many of you will be looking forward to taking a break after a month of daily drawings, but for those of you looking to either continue or join in, we will be posting weekly prompts from the year-long Inktober52 list.

You’re free to create a separate post for your own stuff if you wish, or you can post it as a comment in the weekly prompt post. I will corral any individual posts and post them there as a comment.

Rules:

  1. Please remember to be kind. All skill levels are welcome here.

Sincere thanks to all of you, and I hope you had fun. :)

Drippy Copic (sh.itjust.works)

Hadn't used copic markers in a long time so I drew this as a practice piece. Some markers dripped unexpectedly at various points onto the figure, so I leaned into it by spattering the background with intentional drips.
