I have a switch that trunks in VLANs from pfSense and seems to be working. Confusion simply starts where I have a client connected to the switch that can ping devices in the VLAN but the port in which the client is connected to it not trunked... am I missing something here?

I am l looking into Apple tv to replace the onboard android tv on my sony. Can't seem to find a clear answer on this, but is it possible to natively stream from an Android phone using smart view? This is basically a deal breaker for me because I don't want to go through some app to accomplish this. Apple AirPlay works fine on Android so I figure I can achieve somewhat the opposite here.

I recently did a i9 proxmox build and it became an opportunity to do a fresh install of opnsense from my pfSense install. It's a bit different to get use to, UI wise, in some sense pfSense seemed a little more clunky but easier to read things like the firewall table. But I decided I was going to switch because of hearing the scummy things they do so this reinforced my decision and push getting use to opnsense. Good writeup
