This is no longer the case. Starting in October egress is free up to 3x the volume stored with them.

Google Domains shutting down, assets sold and being migrated to Squarespace in c/webdev@programming.dev

Pretty sure Cloudflare offers this if you use their DNS. Both bits are free and you can use them, or any other registrar with it.
