Did he delete the mastodon account? Or is he not using it anymore?

[–] harbo@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

I thought he already moved to Mastodon?

lol i think reddit is fucked

[–] harbo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Idk what you’re talking about. Mastodon is just an ugly-looking Twitter, and Twitter used the term threads long before Mastodon did. They’re all just copying Twitter

Whew. I used Evernote heavily for about two years back at the beginning of the app craze, but I quickly switched over to just the Apple Notes app as Apple made it more usable. Thank god I didn’t stick with that app

I haven’t really explored any other options, I like it here. I was already on board with the fediverse with Mastodon since the end of last year

[–] harbo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

No. They’re using the fediverse, which includes instances of mastodon, but they are making their own client/web portal/whatever you wanna call it. They’re making their own version of the thing that mastodon is, and their versions will be on the same network that mastodon is on.

Apparently there's an issue with some instances banning users for criticizing authoritarian governments. Is lemmy.world a safe place to criticize governments?
