Foakes should be playing anyway he’s a much better keeper. Bairstow probably cost England the first test with his poor stump work.

I think Ali’s going to play at Headingley but he will be in for a bowler.

Incredible final day and such a tight finish. The dropped catches and missed stumping did England. then there’s the first innings declaration, it feels more like England lost than Australia won

I think England need to find a way to get Foakes in the side. I don’t know if that means dropping Crawley and finding someone else to open or Foakes as a direct replacement for Bairstow. But you should always play your best keeper
