I was on the same boat when I was running NC on a container. I switched to VM, and most of my issues have been resolved, but collabora. I am currently using the built-in collabora server, which is slow.

I don't know why i got downvoted. I asked because it is hard to keep up with users' credentials with local user db, especially with other selfhosted services.

Are you planning to add ldap authentication?

Why don't you just get the Coral TPU? The price is $69-79 on Amazon.

I was on the same boat except for no GPU or iGPU pass-through. I tried Shinobi, but I got too many artifacts. Motioneye was too CPU hungry and no audio. Zoneminder was the only one that worked for me, but the motion is kind of hard to calibrate.

A year ago, I purchased the USB Coral TPU and setup Frigate. So far, Frigate is the best I have tried. The only missing piece is continuous recording. I want to do the setup that I had with Zoneminder, where I could chain a continuous recording at the lowest resolution. Then, if motion is detected, Motion record at the highest resolution.

Calibre-web for central repo for all your ebooks. KOreader + Syncthing for clients because it can sync ebooks, progress and highlights between devices.

My number one is going to be my firewall, OPNsense. I would not use the ISP provided one. I'm, also, using this firewall VM as my reverse proxy, radius, ad blocker, DNSSec, DoT, etc.

The second one would be my hypervisor, Proxmox. I use three NUC8 cluster with ZFS replication for my critical VMs such as the OPNsense, FreePBX, and some.
