I was replying to the comment saying that NoScript was better...I already use uBlock.

I already use uBlock Origin. I haven't had any issues with it. I was replying to the person who said NoScript was better.

It's easy enough. You'll need to grab an apk for YouTube so ReVanced Manager can modify and install it. That's about it.

It's too much of a pain to use for me personally. I really don't want to spend time figuring out which scripts to enable every time I visit a new site. Adblock I can just turn on and forget with minimum effort.

Which one do you use? I've never heard of them until reading this post but you've got me interested.

I mainly program in Visual Studio so I use it's integration for simple commits, diffs, and checkouts. Anything more complicated than that I head for the command line.

This is just going to serve to put people that were on the fence off of Lemmy and they'll go back to reddit.

And every single reply to that post is telling them go back to private indefinitely. Love to see it.

Since you mentioned OpenMW I thought I should mention Daggerfall Unity. It's an rewrite of Daggerfall using the Unity engine, also requiring the original files. The best thing about is that the developers have made it easily moddable and a very healthy modding community has sprung up for it, some of which really make the game feel like what the original developers were going for but had to deal with the technical limitations of the time.

Satisfied Jellyfin user here. I had a Plex server for years but they kept pushing all kinds of new features I didn't want that just made everything feel slower.

Is there any reason to ever do a system update now that the shop is closed, or can I just happily go on ignoring that and install homebrew and cias to my hearts content?

As in if you get the update you can't apply the hacks? Am I good if I have an old hacked one or do I need to watch our for Nintendo doing some sneaky update that'll brick it? I hacked mine like 4 years ago but I haven't touched it a while so not sure if I need to do anything else.
