disney needs to stop making dumb live action remakes (lemmy.world)
 

now they're making a live action moana in 2025. it hasn't even been 10 years, disney is lowballing so hard with these lifeless remakes. hopefully ariel flops bad enough that they change their minds.

these are the kind of stories i miss reading on r/tifu before it became all about sex. thanks for sharing this, and dw you guys are gonna laugh about this one day lol

i thought it was decent at best but i still prefer the original. the new songs besides eric's were awful, especially scuttle's rap, and it was way too long (almost an hour longer than the original). what i really liked though was ariel's chemistry with eric which was so much better than the original, but otherwise i don't think i'll be watching this version again.

Tomorrow many subreddits will open up again, will you switch back to Reddit or stay on Lemmy (or use both) in c/lemmyworld@lemmy.world

lemmy has been fantastic but I know 50% of lemmings are gonna go back to Reddit anyway
