I actually have been that in the past year. Helped organize his victims to kick him out of a local community.

They would be acknowledging they they won’t ever be treated as a full and independent country by doing so. They currently claim sovereignty and have special rights because of it, including the right to govern traditionally and to deny membership to their colonial oppressors

If they want statehood I’m happy to give it, but I’ve seen no indication they want it

They’ve taken the side of corporations over unions and dangle popular policies like Medicare for all until the general election where they abandon it.

But mostly it’s vibes. The Dems don’t say “it’s hard we’ll fix it” they say “it’s actually going really well we already fixed it”

Yes, but I can grow human food on the same plots of land.

I’d suspect the Navajo Nation wouldn’t want to cede their claim of nationhood for statehood

I blame both groups. Both groups are known to be stubborn to the point of short sightedness. Lemmy has a lot of blaming of both at the moment and it’s fair

As a fruit, I know I’m blessed but they seem to disagree

Yeah last year gave me hope that this year dashed

Just peachy in Ohio. In other news I’m getting the hell out

Because intelligence tests were used to deny black votes in the reconstruction south. There are a variety of tricks that they’ve used from just giving harder tests to black people to giving tests that prioritize knowledge more common in white cultural experiences. And that’s not touching on the language issue as a means to deny immigrant votes

I definitiv think voting should be mandatory in the sense of you should have to go to a polling place or send in a ballot or statement of intent to not vote. Make it just as easy to vote as to not, but don’t actually make people vote

I figured I might be able to find some answers here. I've been off and on trying to install home assistant after setting up an old desktop with proxmox, but I've never been able to get it running. I've been getting this issue:

[supervisor.docker.interface] Can't install ghcr.io/home-assistant/qemux86-64-homeassistant:2024.10.3: 500 Server Error for http+docker://localhost/v1.47/images/create?tag=2024.10.3&fromImage=ghcr.io%2Fhome-assistant%2Fqemux86-64-homeassistant&platform=linux%2Famd64: Internal Server Error ("Get "https://ghcr.io/v2/": net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)")

Attempting to go to ghcr.io/v2/ seperately in browser results in it saying I'm unauthorized

But I’ve been getting this error:

[supervisor.docker.interface] Can't install ghcr.io/home-assistant/generic-x86-64-homeassistant:2024.4.4: 500 Server Error for http+docker://localhost/v1.44/images/create?tag=2024.4.4&fromImage=ghcr.io%2Fhome-assistant%2Fgeneric-x86-64-homeassistant&platform=linux%2Famd64: Internal Server Error ("Get "https://ghcr.io/v2/": net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)") [supervisor.homeassistant.core] Error on Home Assistant installation. Retrying in 30sec

I’ve tried changing DNS, but it didn’t help and I seem to get no other helpful results from searching. If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate it as this seems to be something my home could benefit from but it’s just not loading beyond the CLI
