im game mode i have the same problem. you can switch to desktop, there it works and then in game mode you are logged in already

or you could set the mouse on one of the touch pads and mouse clicks on the back pedals. then you do not need to switch the profile

i use manjaro for about 3 years as my daily driver and do not have problems at all.

i think the main difference is the ui itself. emulation station looks great but is build for a console like experience only. with emuze the ui is more simplified with the sidebar for your systems and a main part with a grid of your games. i like this simplified approach more. on top of this it is usable with a mouse like a typical desktop application but also with a controller on a tv.

sadly no, because i do not have a mac. Right now the following systems are supported:

  • windows
  • linux with flatpak support
  • steam deck

Hello together,

for the last 2 years i worked on a passion project of mine: emuze

screenshot

My main goal for emuze is to have a emulation launcher that is as fast and simple as possible. With this you don't have to configure every emulator and fine tune metadata of your roms. If your roms are named correctly, a click on the import button should import your emulators and roms altogether and therefore no configuration is necessary.

If you are curious please try it out and let me know what you think: https://github.com/bmsuseluda/emuze

I know that there are a lot of apps these days that are similar to emuze, but opinions and preferences can be so vastly different, that no launcher before clicked with me.

you could give emuze a try: https://github.com/bmsuseluda/emuze

i worked on it for about 2 years and released it a few days a go. it is a passion project of mine. maybe you like it 🙃

as a workaround i put the steam deck in the dock without puting the tv on. with this the steam deck can download with display off.

in game mode the resolution is fixed on 800p by default. you have to switch to native resolution in the steam settings of a game

the left side of my steam deck was very unresponsive. i returned it to valve. the new device i received works like every other touch device i have.

with the latest proton experimental it works

my workaround is to put it in the official dock, but let the tv turned off or change the channel. this results in the deck internal screen turned off
