Time for device upgrade. iPhone 8 is not supported anymore for major iOS updates.

Take a ruler and measure it. If you still think 13 mini is bigger than 8, visit an ophthalmologist. Screen is bigger than 8, but body is smaller than 8. You should know before upgrading what to expect, so your problem. 🙂
