My friends and I paid an arm and a leg to catch Jurgen's penultimate home game (because the final home itself would require sacrificing my entire bloodline)

Being our first experience to Liverpool, it was 100000% worth it

I'd reckon eating less in general is better for the climate our health

What good would it do?

"significant human error"- pgmol

Yeah I think this is the deal breaker for me. At least with a clock there's something that I can focus on other than my own thoughts.

Would you have a countdown clock or a watch to indicate how much time left? I think that will mentally help me a ton.

And it's beautiful that it's with his ex team mate Lando.

As a Singaporean, I'm shook that the system can be broken so seemingly easily.

As for a human being (myself) it is hard as it is to transfer my CPF (similar to a pension fund) for payments such as housing, medical, investments etc without having a million OTPs, gov app (Singpass) verifications etc.

All things considered, $100+K out of $10M is ~1%, is not much for scam amounts lost from CPF (pension).

In retrospect, VVD's sending off really galvanized the team.

The opening 20+ minutes, shapeless midfield, TAA errors, misplaced balls and runs, was a sorry sight of a 'game plan'.

Having the captain, the reliable, the rock of our defence sent off (rightly so), really pushed the mental state of the team to make or break. Knowing how lethal NUFC can get, they held off to HT, and came on in the second half with a belief of not making a mockery of the club.

The tactical changes were made, and on the day we needed him to put 1 in the net, Nunez put it in twice, TWICE!

Pep twice

I'm trying to backup some stuff to dropbox from my hdd (~300GB of photos and videos), but my hdd keeps being disconnected on its own? and how the hell do I clear all notifications?

Non-techy here, I've been seeing a lot of posts about Google DRM shenanigans, but don't really understand it, and what's 'bad' about it.

ELI5 please thank you

Hi fellow sync-ers,

Having joined Lemmy recently, I have been having a ton of fun. However accessing Lemmy through my mobile browser has been an awful experience, similar to my past Reddit experience till I found Sync.

I'm not sure how much longer I can tolerate the browser experience, and am hesitating jumping on a app. Where's your head at about this?

Edit (4 days later)

I've been on Connect and has been 8/10 so far. Gonna dual use with liftoff after seeing the comments.

I did a 5 minute ctr+F to see which were the most popular apps/ interfaces. Not sorted by pos/neg, just mentions.

  • wefwef/ voyager - 46
  • connect - 43
  • Liftoff - 33
  • Jerboa - 23
  • Thunder - 16
  • Firefox - 13
  • Thunder - 16
  • Old.lemmy - 5
  • Alexandrite - 4
  • Vivaldi - 2

How do you decide or prioritise what to spend on?

As a semi-experienced (10 years, 25+ marathons) amateur runner (4hr+ marathon), wanting to improve, I find this a deep dark rabbit hole my wallet is struggling to keep up.

My current expense ratios for this year:

Races: 2xtrail & 1xMarathon ~$175 (35%)

Shoes: 2xshoes ~$175 (35%)

Gear: socks & bottle ~$75 (15%)

Tech: Garmin HRM ~$80 (15%)

Next on my wishlist are

  • road shoes
  • running tights
  • replacing my 3year old Garmin
  • running cap/ sunglasses
  • a coach

As a sole breadwinner still wanting to pursue my passion of running ,any tips or philosophies to share to help a brother out?
