That seems to be the intention behind the “democrats didn’t go far enough left” narrative coming from lemmy.ml. Convince the left to not vote unless they get something that will lose democrats votes elsewhere.

According to the polls the voters were motivated by inflation and immigration the most.

Better isn’t the word I would use. I don’t think Vance could be the cult leader Trump is. I think when Trump dies it will at least take some time to build up another cult leader.
