Poor Dungeon Meshi getting called out here... However it's one of the best series' I've read for years and I would highly, highly recommend it - I love all the insane food it somehow invents. And in fact it somehow remains the focal part of the story, despite the ridiculous twists it takes.

I own the Eureka - for my purposes, and the price I paid, it's fantastic. It grinds great for filter coffee, and I can fine tune it to my heart's content. It gives nice, consistent results.
But you're right, the retention is not good. I'm looking into getting some sort of 3D printed bellows so I can flush out the retained grounds - I've otherwise resorted to tapping the hopper a good few times to get the last gram or two out.
I did originally consider the Fellow Ode 2 or the Opus but the price was just too much. I'm sure they're excellent but I couldn't justify spending so much money, €180 for the Eureka is already quite a lot.
I'd legitimately never seen what the Reddit app looks like as I always used RIF but good grief it's actually somehow worse than I'd been led to believe.
Wouldn't surprise me if a vast majority of the posts on that sub come from bots.
About 17 or so years ago I had a little money to spend on a book, and found this odd little shelf in my local bookstore. I'd never seen anything like it before, so picked up the coolest thing I could find and that's how I ended up reading Shaman King. My taste has changed somewhat since!
Great game, and I'm glad it was on free to air at last. Old Trafford will be fantastic, might well be Jimmy's last test there so make the most of it!
It's not how it used to be that's for sure. However, there was a T20 on BBC2 last night which turned out to be a great game, and the ashes has been weird but exciting to watch (let's quietly not talk about the hundred shall we). The long overdue ICEC report has hopefully finally got it into the thick heads of various execs at the ECB, and local communities across the country, that the way the game in this country is run has to change. I'm hopeful of positive change in the next few years and I hope the game will become more accessible.
That was at the time of commenting, 6 hours ago. I agree, I can't access it any more either. No idea what's going on with that!
I'm using James Hoffman's recipe as found here. I can't say that weak instant coffee with coffee cubes sounds particularly enjoyable!
In a parallell universe, r/pics creates a new rule that you may only submit a post if it contains an image of James Hoffmann looking mildly displeased with an under-extracted brew
I've been replying on my v60 daily now, never fails to make a good cup! Maybe I'll make an aeropress once every so often each month for a change.
Recently started making Japanese style iced coffee and that's been fantastic for the warm weather!
I have also been experimenting with a Flair Neo, but I've yet to make something I'm entirely satisfied with.
I can tell you now, if you start reading it, the story will go places you could never guess! Great manga, lots of likeable characters and a fun story.
