When new that was $1700 US. I have the 8/512GB version of that computer I use everyday, and it is fantastic. Battery life is amazing. Definitely a little more than I would want to spend on it but it is a fair price considering what apple charges for 16GB of ram and 256 GB of extra storage

The browser obsolescence walls are officially caving in on my El Capitan mid-2009 MacBook Pro. How can I extend the usable life of this thing? in c/apple@hardware.watch

Open core legacy patcher will allow you to update to a much newer OS that still supports all browsers. Check out YouTube videos by MrMacintosh for info and tutorials. Then enjoy your new Mac. It is a game changer

Not by price. M2 max laptop is double or triple price of most i7/i9 laptops. I believe he said similar price from the start
