It's pretty interesting that in English the word for "translate" (from one language to another) means moving from one place to another, but for example Chinese and Finnish use words relating to rotation instead, the opposite of translation. Do any languages use a metaphor for reflection or dilation for this?

This seems neat. Since I already looked into this, might as well post it here: The cheapest way to get the base game and the required DLC legally is through GOG, where they are on sale for ~16 units of currency, but pirating the GOG version seems like it would also work. No repack with the mod yet.

It's just yet another way video game genres are a mess, there really should be a different name for games with an RPG story structure and games with an RPG stats and equipment system.

I think this is part of a larger pattern, where being against oppression in the abstract but at the same time against concrete liberation, or dismissing the possibility of liberation out of hand, is the most natural form of ideology for the moderate part of the oppressor, at least in times of relatively stable struggle.

He tweeted it accidentally, he meant to set a reminder on his phone to tape the night's episode of Sailor Moon

The article itself does not mention AI at all, it's just something this guy made up. What is being prioritized is Taiwan's semiconductor industry over food self-reliance, not "feeding people". There is plenty to actually hate about AI stuff, why do these people feel the need to make things up?

For so many of the bosses, the run that finally beat them didn't really feel like I had mastered them, or even that it was a close fight, their AI just sort of decided not to do any of the hard attacks and just stood there being hit a lot. I don't know what was up with that.
