I'd say just let sex workers run brothels and hire security and much of the problem will disappear, but I fear if it were just legalised in the UK, corporations would want to run the show and would cause a whole set of other problems for sex workers.

I have similar reservations about the legalisation of cannabis too, for I fear it would just be legalised without any effort to bring people out of the black market, pushing them to deal in harder substances.

It's an article about some drivel from the telegraph, why would I read that?

I usually go with "Elon's Musk" cos it sounds gross and he is gross

The article they're complaining about explicitly says the cyclists are a danger to pedestrians in the headline

Weird, here is says drivers.

Cyclists certainly can be a danger to pedestrians, personally I'm super careful when pedestrians are around, and when I'm walking on a designated shared path (probably most paths in my city now), I'll stick to one side because I know I'm not the only type of path user out there. Also, knowing cyclists go at speed, I try not to do really unpredictable things.

Nottingham here.

FYI I managed to save deposit during COVID lockdowns, I actually lost my job again the beginning of lockdown and was unemployed for 3 months, then I managed to save 20k during the next year and a half, which was a little more than 10% of the house price.

Cyclists endangering motorists? Me on my little metal frame is somehow a danger to basically a tank, yeah no, not buying that one. And speeding? Do you know how difficult it is to get above 25 on any bike?

What an absolute shit rag.

How would a prosecution occur if there's no inspectors? They haven't got BTP checking tickets now have they?

You might want to check the mirror for clown makeup yourself.

"knowing these people"? The fuck does that mean? Is this racist or homophobic? I literally can't tell.

As long as it means more rights for the worker and not less I'm all for it.

Exactly what I was thinking, at ATG all that happens is you get asked if you have any glass, they don't even search you.
