I read The Road years ago like when the movie was coming out and thought it was meh and very dark..I think I was too young to get his writing style. I recently read Blood Meridian and I disliked it initially but it's been growing on me now. I reread the Road and liked it a lot more and am now reading No Country for Old Men.
