In the OG Super Mario Strikers on the GameCube, with Toad as your sidekick you could take the ball just over the halfway line where you were able to shoot and along the wall. If you fully charged the shot and pointed your stick straight up or down depending on which side of the field you were on, Toad would curl the ball almost 90° into the far corner and the goalie would almost never save it.
