The Boys was an edgier take on the superior DC comic run "The Hitman", both by the same author.

Oddly found the book better. That the movie seemed to take place over a week just didn't sit well with me. Still a good movie.
I found both to be bad, but the book was the worse of the two.
Saw the "What's the Difference?" Cinefix episode on it. The book did sound good and the movie is pretty faithful to many of the beats.
