@theinspectorst CAFE just needs to be revised to not exempt trucks and have weight/size penalties.. Compact cars can tow a decent amount now, work vans are better for many trades, and there are existing ag programs and zoning statuses that can ID farmers if we want to throw them a bone.

@CoffeeAddict sounds like we're getting closer and closer to the "soft landing" becoming reality after all.
@CoffeeAddict that being said, I think Israel being a mess will make mil spend increase bill more likely to pass than when it was mostly for Ukraine.
@CoffeeAddict all I'm sure of is that congress is going to continue being a mess through the next funding bill date. My money is (unfortunately for the lives this will directly put in danger) on another CR without Ukraine or Israel funding unless we can get a deal to add both.

@theinspectorst what an despicable person. Hopefully the br'ts can recall him or throw a huge protest over this.
@theinspectorst so so so dumb that not one GOP rep could have voted for Jeffries. We wouldn't be in this mess and while they'd have to run independent next cycle they'd be getting all the pet policies they'd want floor time.
@CoffeeAddict while the electoral college is a mess, it'd require a convention to fix, which would be very messy and unclear on the outcomes. An incremental approach would be to get the Wyoming Rule passed which would make the popular vote + electoral vote match more by making the House actually apportioned to population. You'd have to have actual voting majority in both houses + the presidency, but its possible without the downsides of a convention.
@CoffeeAddict I really hope he gets the boot next election cycle for being so anti-military. There are plenty of other republicans in Alabama that should be favorable enough on other GOP viewpoints that could primary him, or if we get really good luck, a moderate dem win?
