I believe this is the episode HERE

Maybe I didn't state it well, but homeless by choice is maybe slightly different than how I imagine it. I imagine it might be more like complacency like how some people lever leave entry level jobs.

I truly struggle with what is the right way to think about the homeless debate. My partner and I debated it a few weeks back after listening to an episode of The Daily on the subject. We were both undecided.

On one hand, we should be humane to those in need.

On the other hand, some peoples situations are a result of their own making, and they are content living without. Regardless of how homeless people come to be that way, they often litter the streets with piss, trash, and drugs, making an otherwise fine area feel dirty and dangerous. Will expanded homeless housing help them get back up on their feet or enable them to continue their current lifestyle?

I don't know what the right answer is.

Yeah I suppose if the convenience is worth it. To me it's odd to rent anything - especially retro games.

For some I'm sure it might have value but I can't imagine subscribing to a service to play retro games. Dozens of excellent retro handhelds exist with no monthly fee to fiddle with.

I work just outside of the Pease air force base and drank the coffee and water for ages. They were on the base well system which was heavily contaminated. Thanks a bunch.

Links awakening is great. Past that some other GB titles:

Super Mario 2: 6 Golden Coins is incredible.

Tetris is great but I prefer the Rosy Retrospection hack. Maybe wait and see if Modretro releases the officially licensed Chromatic Tetris down the road. Chromatic Tetris is already being used in competitions and it looks incredible.

I got work. Like 6 hours of meetings a day. With what energy would I use to 'go to the streets' to ask an old fuck who definitely can't hear me to please retire. I don't think he will hear me or care.

I'll still vote for him I guess. Better Biden than the career criminal maniac.

You do not need to port forward to share a Plex instance over the Internet. App.plex.tv manages the inbound connections automatically. All you need to do is manage invites to your friends. They log in with their email/password or with Google SSO to app.plex.tv and your content will be available over a secure connection with no port forwarding.

Plex should not be accessed externally using a port forward. Always use app.plex.tv as it prevents unauthenticated users from seeing the instance.

I've been shooting for years and sometimes my lab scans come back with horizontal lines in them. It's somewhat rare that I see them, but I was sad that it happened on this roll as I liked a lot of the shots. I asked one of the employees, and he was not certain. I think it might be something in the scanner or density adjustment, but can't say for sure.

The details:

  • ProImage 100
  • Nikon F100
  • AF-S 85mm 1.8 G
  • Noritsu scanner
  • Processed in a rotary machine, as their mini lab is down for the moment.

I put a curve on this shot to emphasize the lines, but they were somewhat apparent. These lines look somewhat bowed, but other times they are straighter.
