Read all of these except for 5 and 6. Pretty good Greatest Hits collection. You won't be bored for the most part. When most people talk about The Divine Comedy, they're just talking about Inferno. Purgatorio and Paradiso suck so much

Final Fantasy XVI easily. It starts off so promising and just never lives up to its potential.

The essentials:

Gone Girl - Crack in book form. Similarly female-focused mystery thriller.

Millennium Trilogy - Dark, detailed, bonkers and brutal. Three Scandi-crime Classics with a twisted female lead and moody tone. Big SA trigger warning.

My Dark Vanessa - A literary fiction set in a school, same dark wintery feel and themes of a teacher exploiting his student. Again, plenty of uncomfortable SA.

The Sherlock Holmes stories. 221B feels like home. They're just such charismatic, pacy and exciting stories. Holmes and Watson are a constant, comforting presence in my life.
